Dr. Jaguan received his Medical Degree at the Central University of Caracas, Venezuela and did his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota.He is board certified in Otolaryngology.
Having spent 15 years working in private practice, Dr. Jaguan has gathered extensive experience in Head and Neck surgery, Ear Surgery for chronic ear infections, Cochlear Implants, and Bone Anchored Hearing Aids in adult and children patients.
At the present, Dr. Jaguan is affiliated with the Miami Children’s Hospital, Bayside Surgical Center, Memorial Regional Hospital and Mercy Hospital where he is the Chief of the Otolaryngology Department.
Dr. Zaveri received his Medical Degree in the K.M. School of Post Graduate Medicine in Ahmedabad, India. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami School of Medicine. He is board certified in Otolaryngology.
Having spent 18 years working in a private practice, Dr. Zaveri has gathered extensive experience in the evaluation and the treatment of head and neck diseases, including sinus treatment, related allergies and sleep disorders in adult and child patients. He is qualified in cosmetic surgery and sleep disorders.
He has been appointed chief of the ENT Department at the FIU School of Medicine. At the present, Dr. Zaveri is affiliated with prestigious hospitals like the Mercy Hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital, and Bayside Surgical Center.
Dr. Grobman obtained his Medical Degree and Otolaryngology residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed an Otology – Neurotology fellowship at the University of Zurich in 1986. He is board certified both in Otolaryngology and Neurotology.
Dr. Grobman was an assistant professor at the University Of Miami School of Medicine, has a faculty appointment at FIU Medical School and has lectured at the Audiology doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University. Having spent over 25 years in private practice, he has gathered a vast experience in ear and skull base disorders including Cochlear Implants and Acoustic Neuroma surgery and treatment of dizziness.
He has made numerous academic presentations in many countries. At present, Dr. Grobman is affiliated with the Baptist Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. Dr. Grobman has been honored with the Best Doctors in America Award since 2000.
Dr. Eamon McLaughlin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biological Sciences. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine and went on to complete Otorhinolaryngology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
While at Penn he had extensive training in all aspects of otorhinolaryngology and trained with national experts in the fields of chronic sinusitis, thyroid surgery, surgery for obstructive sleep apnea, and pediatric otorhinolaryngology (at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia).
In his free time he enjoys cycling, paddle boarding, and exploring his new home of Miami with his wife and their dog.
Dr. McLaughlin is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Ariel Grobman is an Otolaryngologist and South Florida native. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Scholar’s Program earning his B.S. in Psychology. Dr. Grobman then received his Medical Degree from the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, where he graduated in the top of his class. He was then accepted into the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital-Department of Otolaryngology where he completed his internship and residency training.
While in residency Dr. Grobman received extensive training in all aspects of Otolaryngology from world renowned faculty. He learned advanced techniques in surgery of the ear and skull base, advanced airway management, endoscopic management of sinonasal disorders, facial plastic surgery, as well as the medical and surgical treatment of head and neck diseases. In addition, he conducted clinical and basic science research, produced numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, and presented his work at multiple national scientific meetings. Dr. Grobman was elected as the head of resident research during his chief resident year.
Dr. Grobman has completed advanced courses in surgery of the temporal bone and cochlear implantation, endoscopic sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Grobman is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew and treats adults and children for a wide variety of ear, nose and throat conditions.
Dr. Carmen C. Orta Au.D. earned her Speech Pathologist degree in Caracas, Venezuela in July 1989, and finished Cum Laude. She specialized in the Audiology field in 1997 where she obtained her Hearing Aid Dispenser License in Florida. She owned a hearing aid practice for four years in Kissimmee, Fl. In April 2010, Dr. Orta graduated with honors, obtaining her degree of Doctor of Audiology from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Orta holds professional memberships with FLAA and AAA. She joined our practice right after graduation. In addition she is the Director of Clinical Audiology Services. Dr. Orta performs hearing and balance evaluations, tinnitus assessment and treatment,cochlear implant evaluations and programming with hearing aids.
Dr. Cabeza has been practicing Audiology at Miami Hearing and Speech Center for over 25 years. She graduated with a Master’s of Arts in Audiology from the University of Tennessee and received her doctorate degree from the University of Florida. She has been dispensing hearing aids since the law allowed audiologists to dispense hearing aids in the early 1980’s. This was a significant change for audiologists, which allowed them to have long term relationships with their patients.
Her expertise lies not only with fitting amplification, but evaluating and treating patients with tinnitus and hyperacusis. Through counseling and sometimes sound devices, patients are able to return to a normal life. Connie is board certified in Audiology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is involved in the American Tinnitus Association.
Dr. Ismaly Lorenzo earned her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) at University of Puerto Rico- Medical Science Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA) and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Lorenzo joined our practice following graduation. She performs audiometric, electrophysiological, and vestibular evaluations as well as rehabilitation of hearing loss through activation and programming of cochlear implants.
Dr. Sherry Rauh is a former medical journalist who discovered her passion for audiology after writing about treatments for severe hearing loss. She earned her doctorate in audiology from Nova Southeastern University and also holds degrees from New York University and the University of Florida, where she graduated co-valedictorian. Dr. Rauh is board certified in audiology and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Her interests include cochlear implants, hearing aids, positional vertigo and tinnitus.
Dr. Melissa Gonzalez Sirven graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Biological Science. In 2017, she graduated with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University where she earned her doctorate in audiology. She completed her residency at Greater Miami Audiology and joined the practice following graduation. She performs diagnostic electrophysiologic, audiometric, and vestibular evaluations for pediatric and adult patients, as well as evaluations for and programming of implantable devices and hearing aids. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Gonzalez Sirven is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Julie Nieda is Greater Miami Audiology’s practice manager and a licensed hearing aid specialist. She has more than 25 years of practice management experience in the field of hearing healthcare. Seeing the great benefits people receive from improving their hearing, she was inspired to work more directly with patients and earned her hearing aid specialist license in 2013. Julie is a member of the International Hearing Society and the Florida Society of Hearing Healthcare Professionals. She is passionate about ensuring that every patient receives exceptional care.
